Barcelona
is not the right place to travel to right now since the locals have
made it very clear that they don't want to have tourists there.
They have even come with death treats in some places.
These
demonstrations can fast turn violent against the tourists and people
can be injured or in worst case killed.
So we will not
recommend anyone to travel to Barcelona this year or next year for
that matter.
The biggest anti tourist demonstrations have been in the following places and we will advice you all to keep away from these places the next years.
- Barcelona
- Mallorca
- Balearic Islands
- Andalusia
- Catalonia
- Tenerife
Here are many other places in the world to visit that is not nearly as dangerous as Spain is these days and I think it will be just worse.
The government in Spain have to figure out what they will do here, the best had been to reduce the number of tourists that can visit the the country so the pressure is not so big.
When it come to buying of land or houses there so look to South East Asia there it's forbidden for a non citizen to buy land. So Spain have to look in to forbid non Spanish people to buy property in Spain and the problem are much less.
We will follow this demonstrations and see what they have plans to do in this case.
